Uzbekistan’s international reserves decline to $34.4 billion as of October 1-central bank
Uzbekistan’s official international reserves fell by $1.02 billion month-on-month to $34.41 billion as of October 1, 2021, the central bank said.
International reserves include reserves in foreign currency and gold.
The bank said that the main reason for the decline was declined gold prices. In October, gold reserves rose by 200,000 troy ounces, but the total value fell by $528 million.
Uzbekistan’s gold reserves were estimated at $21.345 billion (12.3 million troy ounces).
